Description

This is an original early 17th century map of Asia Minor or 'Natolia' by Jodocus Hondius published by Samuel Purchas in London circa 1625. It is an attractive outline hand-coloured example of this detailed map of Turkey and neighbouring parts of the Mediterranean, Aegean and Black Seas, showing parts of Greece, the Island of Cyprus, Rhodes etc.
English text to recto and verso.

Paper 12.5 x 19 cm
Map 9.5 x 13.5 cm

Condition: Good and dark impression with even discolouration with the exception of the two narrow areas on the sides near the top of the paper which have been affected by tape residue.
