Description

This is a 19th century finely carved coquilla nut made for a lady's dressing table as it would have originally contained a scent bottle.

The container conforms to a double gourd shape with a turned bovine bone finial on top.

Dimensions: 8.5 cm height x 4.5 cm diameter.

Condition: Very good antique condition. The two halves screw tightly together. The container has a good colour and patina.
