Description

This is nicely detailed Black Forest wood carving of a bear sitting on its haunches, unmarked though undoubtedly made in Switzerland in the early 20th century.

It is a lifelike depiction with the bear's back slightly curved and the head with open jaws tilted subtly to one side.

Dimensions: Height 11 cm x Width 14 cm x Depth 6.5 cm
Weight: 167 g

Condition: The tips of the front paws appear to have been replaced, otherwise in good condition with good colour and patina.

Other couriers are available for Scotland and North Wales or where a shorter time frame is required. Purchases can also be collected in person from the Tunbridge Wells area in SE England.
