Description

This is a fabulous Newlyn School Arts & Crafts copper fruit bowl embossed with a band of fish and bubbles on a hammered background, circa early 1900s. Although unstamped the quality and design are strongly indicative of a Newlyn origin. Though the fish are similar to each other no two are identical highlighting the hand-worked nature of the piece. The interior has patches of Verdigris and orange mineral deposits from its previous use as an indoor plant pot which we think only add to its character.
