Description

This is a large, attractive French coffee table comprising a plate glass top on a gilt cast and wrought iron base, circa 1980s.

The base has an extravagant rococo design with s-shaped scrolls forming the legs joined by diagonal scrolling stretchers which meet in the centre. It bears a thick plate glass top with bevelled edges.

Dimensions: 120 cm wide x 80 cm deep x 50 cm high

Condition: The table is in very good vintage condition. The top has no chips or cracks. The base has some rust spots showing through the gilt finish, and has been cleaned and waxed. The table though elegant in design has a robust appearance which would allow it to complement shabby chic as well as more traditional interiors.
