This is a Californian-style rattan armchair, very comfortable and in good vintage condition, purchased in the USA and brought back to the UK by the previous owner. The model of chair is 'Malabar' and it was manufactured in the Philippines for The Pottery Barn in the USA.

It has a wonderful retro look evoking the style of 1940's American cars with their rounded wheel arches. Although a popular choice for conservatory chairs in the USA very few have found their way to the UK. It comes with its original ivory-coloured, cotton covered foam cushion.

Dimensions: Width 32.5 in x Depth 40.5 in x Height 35.5 in

Condition: The armchair is in very good condition with just a little wear to the varnish/lacquer on the arms and extremities. The woven rattan is all good - none has snapped that we could see. The cushion cover is zipped so can be removed for washing. There is some minor discolouration to the cushion cover on one side which has not been completely removed by washing.
