Aldo Londi Bitossi lamp base with mustard glaze

Description

This is a lovely original 1960s pottery table lamp designed by Aldo Londi of the Italian firm Bitossi Ceramiche in the less common mustard yellow and brown glaze. It has been rewired and just needs to be matched with a Mid Century style drum shade. Alternating bands of impressed motifs resembling Runic patterns decorate the cylindrical body. The original label with 'Made in Italy' is still present inside the base.

Measurements: Height to the shade ring on the lamp holder 32 cm .
Height of pottery base 25.5 cm
Diameter - 14 cm
We would recommend a 25 or 30cm diameter drum or tapered drum shade for this base.

Condition: Excellent with no chips or cracks. Rewired with a new brass fitting with integral switch, a generous 2.6m of gold coloured cable, new three pin plug and high voltage tested.
