Description

This is a handsome George II mahogany bureau of good proportions dating from circa 1750 which has been nicely restored. The cleated fall front with working Georgian wire bow key opens to reveal a fitted interior of 8 pigeon holes above an arrangement of six drawers, two short either side of two long drawers, all with brass knobs.
Below are four long, graduated oak-lined drawers with the original brass handles with open back plates. The bureau stands on bracket feet.
All external surfaces are made from good quality solid mahogany which is nicely figured on the fall front.
