Fine Anglo-Indian sadeli work folder / blotter

Description
This is a superb Anglo-Indian sadeli-work micro-mosaic folder or blotter, c1890. Of rectangular form the sandalwood, bone, pewter and ebony inlaid covers open to reveal a deep purple velvet lined interior. The quality of the inlay work is quite extraordinary. This folder could be used to protect some special photographs while at the same time providing an attractive adornment to a desk or side table.Dimensions: Height 26 cm Width 22 cm Depth 2cm Weight 703g
Condition: It is in lovely antique condition, giving the impression that it was hardly ever used. As is typically the case with sadeli boxes there are minor losses to the inlay work - four small areas of sadeli are missing (see final photo which shows two) but you have to look hard to find them.

He can deliver to most places on mainland England and Wales and, depending on where he is on his schedule, it may take a few days or up to 4 weeks. Other couriers are available for Scotland and North Wales or where a shorter time frame is required. Purchases can also be collected in person from the Tunbridge Wells area in SE England.
