Description

This is a delightful Late 19th Century solid walnut card / games table, its form being very much in the taste of the Aesthetic Movement and demonstrating the clear influence of Japanese design.

The top swings around and unfolds to present a green baize surface for playing cards. Small tables below the top can then be pulled down on each of the four sides for the players to keep their cards without the others seeing them.

The square section legs, the frieze and frames to the small under-tables are all reeded. This simple design motif extends to the stretchers and the lower tier shelf.

Condition: The table is in excellent original condition. There are no repairs and all parts work smoothly. The quality of the craftsmanship is superb, and yet it is light and easy to move and prepare for a game.

Delivery: The table can be delivered to anywhere on mainland England and most of Wales for £50 by our trusted delivery man who is an expert in transporting antique furniture and artwork. Any other items which you may wish to purchase at the same time would only incur a small, if any, incremental charge for their delivery.
