Decalcomania vase table lamp by Vaughan

Description

This is a baluster shaped vase table lamp with floral decoration from the Decalcomania range by the luxury lighting company Vaughan. It is approximately 10 to 20 years old.

The floral decoration, or decoupage, on the glass vase is applied using a traditional decalcomania technique which is applied to the inside of the glass. The muted colours of blue and pink give the vase an antique appearance. The base and top are produced in hand-gilded wood.

Similar lamps, albeit, usually in pairs have appeared in Christies auction sales where they generally realise £1000 plus for a pair.

Diameter (max) 17 cm

Condition: The lamp is in excellent vintage condition. It has been tested and is in perfect working order. The gilding is a little rubbed in places. We would recommend a white 40cm (16 inch) tapered drum shade for this lamp.
