This is single black leather & chrome cantilever chair by Evertaut

The design of this chair clearly owes its inspiration to a Modernist chair developed by Anton Lorenz in the 1930s for Thonet (Model SS33). Please note that I have a pair of Anton Lorenz' Model SS33 chairs separately listed so you can see the similarities.

This particular chair was manufactured in the Mid 20th Century.

The label for Evertaut is still attached to the underneath of the seat. Evertaut still exists as a company but it has changed ownership a number of times since this chair was manufactured and we have been informed by Customer Services that all records concerning its design have been lost.

It is a very comfortable chair which works well in both Art Deco and Mid Century interiors.

Size: 60 cm wide x 54 cm deep x 79 cm high (all these are max measurements)
The seat itself is 51 cm wide x 48 cm deep and is 50 cm from the ground.


Condition: The tubular chrome is in excellent condition without any pitting at all. The leather is also in good condition with just a small amount of wear on the front edge of the seat consistent with its age. There is a scratch on top of the seat but there are no holes or splits in the leather. The leather has been cleaned and revitalised with Antiquax leather soap.

Delivery: This chairs is ready to be delivered to your home. It can be delivered to anywhere on mainland England and most of Wales for £45 by my trusted delivery man who is an expert in transporting antique furniture and artwork. Any other items which you may wish to purchase from me at the same time would only incur a small, if any, incremental charge for their delivery.
Delivery to outside mainland UK would have to be organised by the buyer and at their own risk.
