Description

This is an elegant Edwardian 3-arm brass chandelier with holophane-style ribbed glass shades. It has been full restored, rewired and comes with a brass ceiling hook, all ready to be hung and enjoyed.

Each of the graceful arms is shaped as an S-scroll. They connect to a cylindrical drum with beaded edges to top and bottom. The glass shades do not have a manufacturer's mark, though the ceiling hook does.

This is a small to medium sized chandelier which would provide a lovely focal point in a bedroom, hallway or landing. With its downward pointed bulbs and transparent shades it would provide ample lighting in a room.

Condition: The chandelier is in excellent condition: the brass is clean and lustrous, the shades are without chips or cracks and it has been rewired. The brass has been given two coats of clear lacquer to protect its lustre. All you will need to do is purchase three wide bayonet bulbs of the appropriate wattage, hang it from the hook provided and connect the cable to the mains (please switch off at the fuse box before you do this!).
