Description

John Copley (1875-1950) etching titled 'Bay of Palma' signed in pencil bottom centre with 'imp' after the name. Printed in 1932.
Cream coloured laid paper with a Coat of Arms & 'Charles I' watermark. Wide margins.
1st state since there are no sailing boats in the bay.

John Copley's work is held in the V & A Museum, the Yale Centre for British Art as well as the British Museum. The British Museum has a 1st sate and a later state print of this etching in its collection.

Dimensions: Paper size 39 x 29.5 cm Plate Impression 30 x 25 cm

Condition: Slight discolouration and minor handling creases on paper margins otherwise in excellent condition.
