Handsome antique Georgian mahogany side table with attractively figured top dating from the second half of the 18th Century.

Beautifully figured mahogany top with moulded edges. Original surface with some dark rings and old scratches and possessing a fine patination. The photographs were taken on an overcast day but you can observe the wonderful shimmer on the surface which varies depending on which side you take the picture.

Two oak lined drawers with pine bases, each with a later brass ring-pull handle on a circular back plate.

There is a slight shape to the apron below the drawers at the corners on the front.

The table stands on square sectioned legs.

This is a versatile table which would look handsome in just about any room whether it be a hall, living room or bedroom. It would compliment a more relaxed country-style interior equally as well as a formal setting containing other Georgian mahogany pieces.
