Wonderful Late 17th Century oak coffer in good original condition.

Excellent colour & patina.

Attractive frieze carved with lunettes and stylised flowers.

Wrought iron lock plate looks to be original but there is no key.

There are some minor faults an old, stable split in top right panel an old chipped corner on front left, which is not obvious from above one replaced board in base no candle box, though one was clearly present from the grooves cut in the inside top right.
