Description

Fine antique Chinese rosewood low table or plant stand with carved frieze & marble top, dating from the second half of the 19th Century.

Circular shaped top inset with pale red marble with a rosewood border and beaded edge.

Heavily carved and pierced frieze depicting Prunus blossom.

Carved and shaped legs, each in the form of a Foo Dog with a head at the top and a clawed foot at the base.

Rich rosewood colour which is slightly lighter where the wear has been greater.

Dimensions: 17 3/4" diameter top x 18 3/4" high (45 x 47.5cm)
Max width 21 1/2" (55cm)

Condition: Excellent overall condition with no damage to the frieze and no cracks in the marble.

He can deliver to most places on mainland England and Wales and, depending on where he is on his schedule, it may take a few days or up to 4 weeks. Other couriers are available for Scotland and North Wales or where a shorter time frame is required. Purchases can also be collected in person from the Tunbridge Wells area in SE England.
