Description

A minimalist pair of Mid Century Modern Danish teak chairs with papercord seats designed by Arne Hovmand-Olsen for Mogens Kold Mobelfabrik. The frames are of solid teak with a curved backrest and round cross-sectional legs which have an elegant taper.
No labels remain on the underside of the seats.
These chairs have a beautifully simple design typical of Hovmand-Olsen's work. They are quite sculptural, particularly when viewed from the side.

74 cm high x 47.5 cm wide x 40 cm deep (29" x 18 3/4" x 16")

The teak frame is in excellent condition having had a recent coat of Danish oil, and all joints are firm. The chair seats have relatively recently been rewoven with new papercord.

We have a trusted delivery man who is a experienced in transporting antiques, pictures and fragile items. He can deliver to most places on mainland England and Wales and, depending on where he is on his schedule, it may take a few days or up to 4 weeks. Other couriers are available for Scotland and North Wales or where a shorter time frame is required. Purchases can also be collected in person from the Tunbridge Wells area in SE England.
