Description

This is a fine quality, elegant French Louis XV style walnut bedside cabinet dating from the Late 19th Century in excellent original condition.

It has a serpentine-shaped red marble top in original undamaged condition.

It possesses pierced brass back plates to the turned wooden knobs on the frieze drawer and cupboard door.

There are shaped walnut panels to the drawer and door fronts.

The drawers are oak-lined.

The cupboard door opens to reveal a white marble lined interior which would have once contained a pot.

There is a shaped and moulded apron to the cupboard which is repeated on all sides including the back.

C scrolls carved on the corners of the cupboard change to S scrolls on the cabriole legs.
