Description

Charming folk art oil painting on panel of two figures within a rural landscape dominated by a ruined church. The main church building appears almost ghost like. The outline of a cottage is just visible beyond the gate.

Whilst the oil painting dates from the Early 19th Century the frame appears to be about 100 years later.
