Description

Stunning Late Regency / William IV rosewood games table in excellent condition. It's not only a games table but a work or sewing table too.

Beautifully figured rosewood top with side flaps and a chess / droughts board inlaid to the centre. The board comprises alternating squares of birds-eye maple and rosewood.

There is a single, mahogany-lined drawer having two turned wooden knobs and a lock (lacking a key) which is opposed by a faux drawer on the other side. The opening drawer is above a sliding fabric-covered basket all of which is supported on an hexagonal shaped column and quadripartite platform base resting on casters partially hidden below squat bun feet.
