Very decorative and still very much a thing of great beauty, despite somebody previously being rather heavy handed whilst cleaning this Edwardian gilt on black lacquer glove box. Circa 1900.
Beautifully made and of a super quality, but priced reflecting the loss of gilding to the top of the box.

Viewing here in Uppingham is very welcome in my spacious barn studio but also I have a showroom based within the Uppingham Antiques Centre, which is well worth a visit and have a good lunch in town too!
