DESCRIPTION:
Here we have a super 16 drawer oak framed haberdashery drawer shop display counter dating from the 1950s. The drawers are beech front and sides with copper oxidised handles, and the cabinet stands on oak ogee feet. The cabinet has its brass rule to the top which is always nice to see and even if never used again shows the history of the counter. The whole counter has mellowed to a beautiful colour and warm hue throughout. The counter has been through the workshop where due to years of use causing scratches the glass top was replaced with a 6.4mm laminated safety glass. This counter will give many more years of practical use both in a commercial as well as a residential setting. We have sold a number of these just recently for use in kitchens storing and displaying proudly the family crockery and utensils. These counters also make great storage in offices, craft rooms and dressing rooms.

WORKSHOP REPORT:
The counter has undergone workshop attention, where the top was replaced with a laminated 6.4mm safety glass due to extensive scratching on the original surface. In addition, the item has received a thorough clean and polish, enhancing its overall appearance and preserving its character.
It should be noted that there is a minor area of damage on the top right edge of one of the drawers, which has been documented in photographs. Please be aware that, as is often the case, the damage appears more pronounced in the images than it does when viewed in person.
