DESCRIPTION:

This is a stunning retro oak and beech countered shop haberdashery display counter. The counter dates from approx. 1950/60 and is beech with a brass strip to the top front edge. The counter has 20 graduating drawers each having beech front and sides and front visible box joints that really set the piece off and emphasising the quality of the piece as you would expect by the Heggie Aitchison Ltd manufacturers of Edinburgh. The sloping front and sides of this haberdashery cabinet really lends itself to display more unique items and looks especially good in a confectionery or bakers shop the display of the popular cupcakes these days looks particularly good. However, this counter will also suit many other settings both commercial and residential.

WORKSHOP REPORT:

We haven’t put this haberdashery counter through the workshop so it does require some very minimal TLC there is some sticker residue on it that will need removing then the whole counter given a good general clean and polish. There is the odd scuff as you would expect nothing major just signs of its use and age. We have not replaced the top glass as we feel the slight scratching wasn’t enough to warrant it as they do not impede the visibility into the cabinet at all and it helps to keep the cost down.
