Original 1950's British Film Light


Fully restored into a floor standing lamp

We were very lucky to acquire this light direct from a film production company.

The Light has been used for many years throughout the heyday of film making.

These Iconic film lights are seldom available for sale.

An instantly recognisable piece of film history, the quality and detailing of this light is exceptional.

The light has been superbly engineered and features:

Heavy cast alloy ventilated body,

Beam adjustment - Spot to Flood

360 degree rotation,

Fresnel lens and and internal reflector.


The Light gives a clear-cut soft beam that is ideal for feature lighting and showing specific objects such as a work of art.

The Lamp has been fitted with an Energy Efficient Halogen 100w Light Bulb.

The light has been professionally re-wired with black 3 core lighting flex and fitted with a high quality dimmer floor control.

The dimmer switch allows for the light to be turned on or off with the press of a button, or to change the brightness from a warm glow to bright spot light with the sliding control.

The dimmer also features a night location neon indicator.

The light has been converted for home or office use and takes regular household light bulbs up to 300 watts, we also had a deluxe vintage style Bakelite plug fitted (BS1363/A).

This light has been fully pat tested by a certified tester for electrical safety and meets with the current safety requirements.

The Light is presented on a teak light wood surveyor's style tripod.

The tripod features: height adjustable legs.

The height range is adjustable from 75 cm's to 170cm's.

This light features streamline iconic styling with industrial design.

This film light has been back to metal restored and hand restored by a professional antique restorer.

We take pride in the finished result as the lights represent a unique and very rare piece of design history.
