RARE BRITISH STRAND ELECTRIC 1950'S THEATRE LAMP FULLY RESTORED

This iconic example of British design was made by the Strand Lighting Company in their Covent Garden works in London’s West End.

This Strand profile spotlight - also known as the 'Baby Spot' was the one of the work horses of the theatre industry from the 1950's to the 1980's.

Regrettably most have now been lost or destroyed and the survivors represent rare examples of an original British Industrial Design classic.

The light has been superbly engineered, and features a die cast ventilated body, 360 degree rotation, Iconic Circular design and an internal reflector.

The spot light has been professionally restored to a bright finish by a specialist British company.

The Light gives a wide beam spread for feature / architectural lighting and showing specific objects such as a work of art.

The Light is presented on a handmade classic wooden tripod.

The tripod features height adjustable legs with rich detailed fittings.

The height range is adjustable from 75cm to 170cm and is ideal for all floor types.

The light has been professionally re-wired with 3 core silk braided lighting flex and fitted with a high quality CE approved inline foot dimmer switch.

The light has been converted for home use and takes regular household light bulbs up to 200 watts.
