For sale today we have this Rare Double Lustred Dish by John Pearson of the Guid of Handicrafts and Newlyn Industrial Class. A beautiful piece of Arts and Crafts pottery, the dish features a hand painted Peacock with tail feathers on display, surrounded by flowing Blue foliage. The Peacock is picked out in Silver lustre, while the feathers (and the buds in the foliage) are Gold. The base is decorated with a blooming flower, along with John Pearson's monogram. Pearson was trained in ceramics by William De Morgan, and that is very evident in this piece.
