Description

For sale today we have this rare Doulton Lambeth "Plough boy, dog and horses" Vase by Hannah Barlow with borders by Edith Lupton. An utterly charming, tall vase (12 1/2") of baluster form with a central sgrafitto panel by Barlow of a young boy ploughing the fields with a shire horse drawn plough, accompanied by his doting dog. The top and bottom borders by Lupton include formal stiff leaves, incised scrolling foliage, applied rosettes and extensive beadwork. Stamped to the base with the Doulton Lambeth cog mark along with incised EDL 834 and HBB 995.
This vase has some restoration to the neck/ rim and is priced accordingly. Please contact should you require further info.
