Description

An exquisitely Pretty William Moorcroft for James Macintyre Florian "Floral Spray" Pattern Twin Handled Chalice Bowl. Of pedestal form, the bowl is profusely decorated in the Art Nouveau style with vibrant, multi coloured displays of Roses, Tulips, Daffodils and Forget-Me-Nots, while the base and inner bowl feature a scrolling design using yet more Tulips. The leaves/ foliage are of the stylised spade form seen in this period and are coloured to a verdant green. A great display size, the bowl measures 9" across the handles x 6 1/2" tall and bears William's full green signature in green along with a James Macintyre & Sons stamp. An early piece, the bowl dates to circa 1907.
