Description

A Superb Doulton Lambeth "Scrolling Seaweed" Flower Ewer by George Tinworth. The tall and slender ewer is sharply incised to Tinworth's "signature" Scrolling Seaweed design that is further enhanced with applied Rosettes and beads. Stiff leaf borders to the base and the rim (also beaded) and stud work borders. An interesting colour pallette that unusually features a deep purple glaze. Stands an impressive 11 1/2" tall x 4 1/2" dia. Stamped with Doulton Lambeth and Dated 1877. Bears Tinworth's "GT" monogram to the body while the assistant is W Baron.
