Description

Early 19th century Derby porcelain coffee can with a rare London shape handle. Decorated with a wide frieze of stylised red, pink and purple flowers set on a gilt vine with fine gilt leaves and tendrils in the background. Framed with gilt bands and gilt decoration to the handle. Red painted mark, c.1805.

It measures 6.3cm (2 1/2") high to the rim and 6.7cm (2 5/8") rim to rim.

Condition is very good with no damage or repair and very minor handling wear. There are a few small patches of kiln dust spots from manufacture.
