Description

A very nice large Caughley porcelain 1 1/2 pint porcelain beer mug printed in the Parrot Pecking Fruit pattern with geometric frieze border running inside and outside the rim. It is unmarked, c,1780, see Caughley & Worcester Porcelains 1775-1800 by Godden, plate 40, and V&A museum reference number 3348-1901.

It measures 14cm (5 1/2") high, 9.5cm (3 3/4") rim to rim and 14cm (5 1/2") rim to handle. Capacity is 850ml / 1 1/2 pints. Condition is excellent with no damage and minimal surface wear.
