Description

Pretty Spode early 19th century coffee can printed with the unusual "pluck & dust" method with the Rose Border pattern number 984 in brilliant orange surrounded by rich gilding. c.1806.

It measures 6.5cm (2 1/2") high, 8.5cm (3 3/8") rim to handle and 6.5cm (2 1/2") rim to rim. Condition is good: there are a few faults at the edge of the rim, tiny 1-2mm hairlines in the glaze which have a little associated discolouration and also some discolouration to the base. No body damage or restoration.
