Description

Pretty small French porcelain vase in the Sevres style in a baluster shape with a rich deep red ground. Either side has a reserve filled with the portrait of 2 elegant ladies with an apparent signature RAY beside each. These are transfer printed, over painted in places with enamels. Each is framed with ornate raised gilding as foliate garlands that then wrap around the base of the neck. Further scrolled gilding and gilded bands around the foot and neck rim. Sevres style mark to the base along with a gilded crown mark.

It measures 13cm high and 6cm wide. Condition is very good with no damage or restoration. Very light surface wear, a few very fine lines coming to the finish of the portrait of the lady with the beads in her hair.
