Pinxton Porcelain Coffee Can c.1800 Pattern 218


Description
A Georgian porcelain coffee can by the Pinxton manufactory c.1800, of slight bucket shape with a ear-shape handle. Painted with a landscape of a bridge over a river with trees in the fore- and background painted in muted enamels. Gilt band around the foot and rim and small detail down the handle. Painted pattern number to the base.It measures 6.2cm (2 3/8") high, 6.5cm (2 1/2") rim to rim and 8.5cm (3 3/8") rim to handle.
In good condition: there is a fine hairline to the left of the scene but no other damage or repair. Minor handling wear including some wear to the gilt on the rim.
Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
