Description

Lovely little baluster vase by Royal Worcester from the 'Hadley' factory premises in the year of its takeover by Royal Worcester. With gilded scrolled handles on the shoulders, the whole is hand painted with a naturalistic scene of 2 peacocks in the autumn sunshine surrounded by rose hips and seed heads. The vase is signed H.W. Martin for Henry "Harry" Martin. The backstamp dates for 1905 and has the Hadley Ware mark used between the 1905 and 1906.

It measures 19cm (7 ½”) high and 9cm (3 ½”) wide. Condition is very good but there has been some professional restoration to the neck. Otherwise surface condition is excellent.
