A very pretty little 8 day ‘cottage’ longcase clock by Jonathan Brumhead of Stamford, Lincolnshire. 8 day, movement striking the hours on a bell. Very pretty 12” square, early painted dial, with flowers and gilded decoration in the corners. Diamond pattern blued steel hands. The figured oak case features a slender trunk, with a long door with nicely shaped top. The hood with dentil molding, free standing pillars with brass capitals. The clock is of particularly pleasing colour and proportion.
