A most impressive and high quality 8 day longcase by John Webster, London. Five ringed and finned pillars and countwheel strike. Superb matting and ringed seconds and winding holes to the 12″ dial. Winged cherub spandrels. The walnut marquetry case has a lovely colour, fretted caddy, lenticle and marquetry base to the plinth. A most handsome clock.C.1710-15
