Description
A rare & pretty miniature longcase clock. The conventionally designed 8 day bell strike movement is weight driven and has a seconds beating pendulum. The lovely 8” dial & hands are made & decorated in the traditional 18th C style. Signed chapter ring ‘I.Vickers, Lancaster’ (C.1820-D1905). Beautifully proportioned oak case in traditional style, with long trunk door with decorated top and turned pillars to the hood door. Purpose made throughout and one of the prettiest we have seen.Height 69”/175cm
