High quality 8 day twin line fusee “5 glass” by Dent. The massive movement signed “E. Dent & Co, 61 Strand, London. 1770.” Striking the hours on a bell anchor escapement. Pendulum hold-fast. 4½” /115mm wide painted dial also signed “Dent, 61 Strand, London”. Blued steel hands classic 5 glass case in mahogany with ripple moulding below top, bevelled plate glasses to sides and top and silvered sight piece to the front door.C.1900 Height 10 ½” /27cm
