Description

A pair of Victorian antique brass door porters, also known as doorstops. Excellent condition. Dated 19th century, Victorian, English antique.

Priced to sell as a pair or £250 for a single door stop.

A matched pair of polished brass doorstops or door porters, both in a wonderful antique condition. This elegant design is likely crafted by William Tonks and Sons who supplied brassware to Liberty London between 1852 and 1889.
These porters feature a weighted base which has a stepped bell shape with decorative scrollwork detailing to the mould a slender column and a looped handle for easy movement.
A really beautiful and useful addition to the home.
