Description

These are a super pair of original Globe-Wernicke three tier sectional bookcases dating from the early 20th Century, circa 1910. They are in excellent condition and veneered in golden oak with 'sun-rays' to the grain.

Each bookcase has a top cornice above three sections each with a glass fronted door and brass knob handle and standing on a shaped plinth base. To open the doors lift up and then slide into the bookcase out of the way. This model was designed with brass bands to the base of the side sections to protect the edges of the veneer.

A great feature of this pair of bookcases is their versatility as they can be used in different configurations and altered if your needs change - for example you could have a four section bookcase and a two section bookcase, or a single six section bookcase (opting not to use the second top and base).

CONDITION

These are in excellent condition with minor surface marks consistent with usage for furniture of this age. One handle is slightly off straight.
