Description

19th Century striking carriage clock by Drocourt in corniche case. The case having polished and lacquered finish. The 8-day movement strikes the hours and half hours on a gong and still retains its original lever escapement. The white enamel dial having Roman numerals.

Drocourt founded in 1860 by the brothers Pierre and Alfred were one of the most famous makers of carriage clocks. The firm ceased trading just after the end of the first World War in 1920.
