Description

A late 19th Century Mahogany and gilt mounts mantle clock by Marti. The enamel chapter ring dial having Roman numerals and a silver engine-turned center. The 8-day pendulum movement strikes the hours and half hours on a gong. The mahogany case having good quality brass mounts and standing on brass bracket feet.

Samuel Marti was one of the prolific French clockmakers of the 1800s and was known to be working circa 1860 at Le Pays de Montbeliard in Paris.
