Ascot Antique Clocks

Description

French blue porcelain and gilt ormolu mantle clock by Jean-Babtiste Delettrez. The beautiful panels showing relining cherubs and floral scenes as well as a musical theme to the side panels. The 8-day movement strikes the hours and half hours on a bell. The backplate is stamped JBD for the maker.

Delettrez was in partnership with Archille Brocot until the latter died in 1878 when he carried on in his own name.
