Unusual Elegant Circa 1870 antique Swedish Gustavian Black painted chest of drawers commode in gustavian style with great Gustavian ribbing detail on the top drawer and curvaceous rococo style legs.

It has 4 drawers - the top one is slightly less tall.

Very rare style with a stunning black paint patina and lovely back - it has all the usual marks of age for a piece of this period

You will Love the black faded top too. Nice design feature

It features the U shape ring pulls and brass escutcheons you would expect of a piece of this period.

The drawers have been treated against woodworm and structurally sound for daily use (carefully!)
