Beautiful and very original French late c19th paint and gilded louis xv style bed with curved foot board, known as a "Corbeille"
The bed is in lovely condition, the original paint and gilt has aged very well, but it will be cleaned and touched up where necessary for you, then we seal the paint to ensure no further chipping.
The frame of the bed is quite decorative, more so than the typical examples of the style, so you can see this is a better quality bed...also the quality of gilding.
The bed will hold a full 5' x 6'6'' Kingsize standard mattress or 150cm x 200cm
We supply the bed with a solid top upholstered supporting box base, within the price, as well as delivery within 125 miles of Oakham. The bed is priced with the existing upholstery, but no problem to replace this for your own choice, we would need 7m supplied by you and the re upholstery cost would be £275 + vat
