Description

An unusual oak and cherry french armoire cupboard c1820.
A very fine example the atmoire stands on elegant cabriole legs terminating with snail feet.
The armoire features a very unusual side door that opens to a small shelved section for that extra storage.
The panelled doors open to reveal a shelved interior that could be changed to a hanging rail if required, but would only take a small clothes hanger.
Below the doors there is a full width drawer which is unusal for an armoire of this period...but does allow for some larger items to be stored. The piece is finished with some decoarative carved detail that gives the piece some real characted.
It is of a lovely warm colour and has that lovely patina you can only get from age.
Measuring 88.75" high x 61" wide x 21.5" deep x 17" internal depth.
