A very rare opportunity to have an original matching pair of French louis xv style 2 door bookcases, circa 1900 and beautifully made, excellent quality and not of the typical "country" examples.
The bookcases are solid mahogany lined and panelled internally, very crisp carvings throughout and fully panelled sides and lower door panels too, the doors are fitted with a mesh.
The paint finish is lovely, very pale French grey and an off whole to highlight, it has aged well but could have some gilding added if you liked, or can be fully repainted.
The dimensions are well proportioned, not being too high so the tops are intended for further display, measuring 63'' high x 34'' wide x 15'' deep
