This is an extremely fine and rare French bed, exceptional quality and fabulously decorative with its original gilded carved frame and this stunning buttoned velvet upholstery, circa 1880 and in great condition.
The bed is a full kingsize mattress size
The frame is beautifully carved from top to bottom, the deep curved footboard and swept winged headboard is most unusual and really gives the bed some presence...
The bed is in very good original condition with very little signs of any previous restoration, we have re upholstered the bed so the velvet is new and in perfect condition.
The bed is supplied to you with a fitted supporting box base, ready to hold your standard kingsize mattress
Measurements Headboard height 62'' in the centre to the top of the scallop carving and 52'' at the sides...the footboard is 32'' high...the maximum width of the frame is 66''
